Most of us are in the process of building our careers and if you are like us at Mood Group, we very much enjoy reading and learning about those that have already been very successful and to understand what they would say in their own words has brought about that success. With that in mind we asked Sabir Sami, Global CEO, KFC to share some of his thoughts on the topic, we give Sabir thanks for the following wisdom.

Sabir Sami, Global CEO, KFC

Hi, my name is Sabir Sami and I am the Global CEO for KFC. As an introduction to myself I am originally from Pakistan, I grew up in various parts of the world including a childhood in Libya and boarding schools in the UK and Malta. After completing my MBA I started work at P&G in brand management followed by time at The Coca-Cola Company, Reckitt Benckiser and finally at Yum Brands, the parent company of KFC. In the course of my career I have worked in Sydney, Singapore, Vietnam, Toronto, Istanbul, Dubai, Ho Chi Minh City and Karachi, a very international career with stints in marketing, operations and general management.

I am often asked as to what Leadership is, or how one can be a strong leader. In my experience there are 4 factors: first, the mindset of ownership. Meaning that Leaders take responsibility and hold themselves accountable versus blame others or looking for excuses. Secondly, a passion for people and culture. Third, great self-discipline over their time and how they invest it. Fourth, Humility. The ability to listen, learn and a desire to hire people smarter than oneself is key. All these four traits can be developed at an early stage and when demonstrated with sincerity and quality can define strong leadership. I have been blessed with great coaches, peers and teams and most of all with an incredibly supportive wife who has been a huge partner and counsel to me.

I wish everyone good health and success.

Thx for this inspired thoughts . Leadership is top topic those days . Leaders mostly born with such skills and development will happened according to circumstances..
One more point to highlight , leadership successors is very important , they need to be patients and struggles to develop future leaders. They are hard and determined always .

Dear Sir:
I hope you are well and thanks for your mail and I hope that you will receive my message and you
are in full health and pleasure.
actually i would like to attend your Education Program, But according to my 34 years of sales and
marketing experience, I am looking for new job opportunities .
I would like to introduce myself: I have 34 years of experience in foreign trade and international
trade relations. I dealt with almost every country in the world, because I worked as an
international sales manager .
In particular, I have worked for many years with the Arab Gulf states and have strong relations
with the largest companies and institutions of commercial countries, such as the industrial and
commercial chambers and municipalities.
Note: I worked for six years in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
Accordingly, I have strong relationships with the owners of senior companies and officials in
government institutions.
Building on my self-confidence and my knowledge of the Arabic language fluently (writing and
speaking) and based on my long experience and building on strong relationships, I am thinking
that I am the right person for this job and the last decision is up to you.
PLease note that: I finished my first university from Istanbul University (Faculty of Mathematics
Engineering) and my second university from Beirut
