Some thoughts during Ramadan

During this special religious month of Ramadan, we all should remember first and foremost it’s a time for fasting and focusing on prayers. It is a time for reflection and doing of good deeds to all, especially to Charitable causes and the less fortunate. Also for connecting and reconnecting with family and friends. Share, socialise, smile and enjoy Suhoor and Iftar together.
In the spirit of Ramadan we encourage you to connect with new and old business associates and colleagues around the world to strengthen and widen your professional links and grow your network with like-minded professionals. Organise your work and home affairs, ready for the exciting year ahead. Clean, clear and cleanse your mind, your body and your work. Think and talk positively to all you meet and come across during this special time.
As a guide to best practices and behaviours during this spiritual time one should be kind, caring, patient and courteous to all. Good behaviour towards our fellow human beings and co-workers should be a given, all our lives but is especially important now to give that little bit extra and go that extra mile. After-all being kind and charitable to others is always a fulfilling and spiritually uplifting experience.
The more I read and start to understand about Ramadan the more I appreciate that who ever our god, what ever our beliefs we should all try to be more understanding, tolerant and respectful of our neighbours choices. As a mark of respect to our Muslim friends abstaining from drinking, smoking and eating during day light hours in public shows a mark of respect and one I am very happy to observe. As the saying goes ‘it’s nice to be important, but it’s important to be nice’. To me Ramadan is a reminder of such ethics and values to live by, for one and all.
In an effort to mirror Ramadan’s pillars, lets connect on Linkedin and share our combined professional efforts to partner and grow our businesses together. Onwards and upwards, to better understanding of each other and professional alliance’s that are important and have deep meaning and healthy respect.
Ramadan Kareem – Happy Ramadan to all
